A discrepancy regarding the health of Amy Winehouse arose Monday after the Grammy-winning singer’s father said she had early stage emphysema brought on by smoking crack cocaine and cigarettes.
A publicist for Winehouse later said he had misspoken “out of his concern for her.”
“She is not diagnosed with full-blown emphysema, but instead has early signs of what could lead to emphysema,” Tracey Miller, her U.S.-based representative, told The Associated Press on Monday.

According to Daddy Winehouse, Amy suffers from lung, heart damage. Daddy disclosed this in a interview published in the Sunday Mirror. The paper quoted Mitch Winehouse as saying Amy has an early stage emphysema and an irregular heartbeat, and has been warned that she will have to wear an oxygen mask unless she stops smoking drugs.
“The doctors have told her if she goes back to smoking drugs, it won’t just ruin her voice, it will kill her,” Mitch Winehouse was quoted as saying. “There are nodules around the chest and dark marks. She has 70 percent lung capacity.”
In a effort to get his daughter back in performing-shape, he has pleaded that her drug-taking friends stay away from Amy.
“What hope does she have if people are taking drugs around her,” he said.
I hope she can kick her habits. If she cant do it for herself, at least do it for her parents.

Amy Winehouse is considering dumping her incarcerated hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil. She snubbed his birthday, which was Wednesday, and has been visiting him less. Could this be the end???
Sources close to the ‘Rehab’ singer revealed she has been living the life of a single woman but is unlikely to divorce him while he is in prison.
“Amy does everything she can not to visit. She forgets she is married half the time. There are a few men she is close to and Blake can’t stand it.”
Amy, I feel you. There is nothing harder than being with someone who is locked up. Trying to hold that person down and being faithful and true, while wanting to live. It is like being in prison. Amy, a little advice: Think long and hard before making any rash decisions.

In honor of naked celebrity week (well, that is, if Audrina, Kristin, and Ashley the call girl count as celebrities), Amy Winehouse is also taking her clothes off. Nope, it’s not her usual cracked-out ramble through the streets in a dingy bra. This time Winehouse got her kit off for charity, stripping down for photographer Carolyn Djangoly to raise awareness about breast cancer among young women.
The songstress appears nekkid in the April issue of British women’s magazine Easy Living, where she’s pictured strumming her guitar in the buff while covered only in two pieces of duct tape. Because looking scarily out of it (with a mild S&M twist) is just fine, as long as you’re doing it for a good cause. Also stripping off for sick ladies? Actress Helena Bonham Carter and ’90s crooner Sade.
