11 Greatest Songs To Sex To

Written by Cassandra on Jul 2nd, 2008 | Filed under: Featured Blogger

You young whipper snappers might be too young to know what a sex tape is. No, it is not what you read about every week on tmz.com that another D-List celebrity has leaked. It is not what you watch on youporn either. A sex tape use to mean a cassette. Not sure what those are? Here is what this ancient relic of the 80’s- no not 1880’s but the 1980’s- looks like.

Before we had cd players and way before Ipods, we had to mix our own cassettes. They would take hours to make. You had to rewind songs to get them to start in the right place, make sure each song smoothly transitioned into the next, and hope that you had enough recording space left on Side A to squeeze in that last song. What was the sex tape for? It was for that moment you hoped would occur on the hill overlooking the skyline after a movie with your date at the Megaplex; for that weekend during Ohio State v Michigan in the dorm when you just knew you were getting some; for the week her parents would be out of town. The sex tape was like buying condoms. You knew that if you had one, you were getting some. Although, most of the time you were done before you had to get up and change it to Side B.

In honor of the sex tape, I bring you my list of the 11 greatest songs to bump-n-grind to (all songs recorded before the digital era) and in order.

11. Turn Your Lights Down Low- Bob Marley

Turn your lights down low
And pull your window curtains;
Oh, let jah moon come shining in -
Into our life again,
Sayin: ooh, its been a long, long (long, long, long, long) time;
I kept this message for you, girl,
But it seems I was never on time;
Still I wanna get through to you, girlie,
On time - on time.
I want to give you some love (good, good lovin)

You know I have to have some Bob on my tape. It is a hard choice between this and Stir It Up, but the lyrics in this song, plus Bob’s smooth voice, make it the easier choice.

Diddy Reviews ‘Hancock’

Written by Cassandra on Jul 2nd, 2008 | Filed under: Movie Reviews, Sean Combs

“Cause now we have a black superhero…and his muthaf*cking name is Hancock, bitch!”

Diddy brings up a very valid point: we didnt have a black superhero going up. There was Superman, Batman and Robin, Iron Man..all white superheroes. Now with the release of Hancock, we are able to finally say we have our own superhero.

Musiq Soulchild Rocking X Blackburn

Written by Cassandra on Jul 2nd, 2008 | Filed under: Photos

Musiq Soulchild rocking fabric by blackburn. I know you are saying, “Cassandra, what the hell is fabric by blackburn?” Well check below for the low low:

fabric by blackburn is a luxury brand which provides consumers with a unique sartorial experience: an American fit executed in the highest quality fabrics with great attention to detail. Strongly based on unique use of color and pattern. Combinations of luxurious fabric, rich colors and patterns evoke

a feeling of confidence from those wearing the garments. With even the tamest of designs, the product is undeniably eye catching.

Society’s outlook on the world today is bleak due to the economy and war. fabric by blackburn’s philosophy is to shine a light back onto that grey overtone. Skulls, death, and other morbid images have been a foc

al point in fashion for some time now. blackburn wishes no injustice to any brand that utilize these designs, but wants to bring “life” back into fashion by exhibiting freedom of spirit through cloth.

Mel B.  and fam (hubby Harry, daughters Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris) stopped for some ice cream at the Grove on7/1. Angel Iris is such a cutie!!!

EDIT: I forgot to mention that Mel B. was a member of the British pop group Spice Girls. They were a big hit in the 90s. The Spice Girls got back together to do a reunion tour but due to scheduling conflicts and Victoria Beckham’s decision to not sing anymore, the tour had to be canceled.

Here are some candids taken of Bad Boy recording artist and Diddy’s homie lover friend Cassie hosting the launch of Madison Square Garden’s New Series “NYC Sound Tracks” at Metrazur Restaurant. IMO, Cassie is a phenomenal model but lackluster at singing. Stick to modeling and hosting Cassie.
