    Mos Def’s Ex-Wife Pens Tell All

    Ex-stripper/featured dancer in Snoop’s “Drop It Like It’s Hot” video/Mos Def’s most recent ex-wife, Alana Wyatt, has penned a  memoir about her brief marriage to “one of Hip-Hop’s most beloved artists.”

    Breaking the Code of Silence: Alana Wyatt Smith Tells All chronicles the intense relationship and whirlwind marriage between a young woman and one of Hip-Hop’s most beloved artists. An honest and open memoir, Wyatt’s tells her story of how her turbulent childhood, difficult teenage years and sometimes not-so-wise decisions aided in her development to become a devoted mother and a strong, independent woman.

    Part biography, part cautionary tale, Wyatt tells her story to educate and inspire others to be independent and remain true to themselves.

      That is Andre 3000 and Ms. Wyatt in that pic. For your information I do know who Mos Def is. That pic was used as an eye catcher to get you to read (which it did).

      So before you try to tell someone to do some research, ask yourself two questions: (1) did the author make a mistake by posting this pic? and(2) is it used as an eye catcher.

      First off she was a video vixen, therefore it wasn’t put up there 2 make people listen. Its jus when a girl took thousands of pics wit thousands of guys who care wat u put up there. But she was only married 2 mos def 4 a lil bit of time so there’s limited pics. Anywho, here goes another carmen (nas ex). Well at least she not fuckin every1 2 b n the industry, just one conscience rapper…..

      Who edit’s these whore’s books? I can clearly tell a lot of these video vixens didn’t make it past grade school with the grammer and diction the tend to use (or not use). I don’t think these women should be writing anything - except checks to US for reading this crap. I understand hard times and all but if you stayed with someone who beat your ass and keep talking about - ” All there was left to do was shake my ass and fuck rich men so I could leave my hell….” blah, blah, blah - there are so many young women with such harder backgrounds - that didn’t choose to degrade themselves and they still choose respectable postions in which to get ahead in the game.

      writing a book after your breakup is becoming more popular now-a-days maybe it because when their pockets get low they decide to tell all the gossip they can to get a buck - look at what it did for Superhead…..

      and side note it seems like you could have at least found a picture of Mos Def and her not andre 3000 …. smooches

      First of all if any of you people read the book…you would know what it is about before jumping to ‘rude’ conclusions!!!
      It’s about a woman’s journey in life, not dissing anyone, just keeping it real, cleansing the past from her life in a book which millions of people do. She is not in it for the money, trust me or she would have stayed married to MOS and taken him for half which would have been easy and a sure thing. And she didn’t by the way.
      How I know is b/c I am a friend of hers, with a university education, ready to put all you illiterates in check.
      So get a life haters and find something useful to do with your time.
      And as the verse goes, straight from the bible ‘JUDGE NOT LEST YOU BE JUDGED THE SAME WAY’!!!!!

      Let’s be REAL: famous men .. athletes/musicians, etc. get married AND date too: DUH! if you so happen to go out/marry one and perpetually have a knack for picking them up, it is logical since you would become part of their circle. how many friends of friends have you dated? how often do you really go out of your circle? furthermore, when you look a certain way, you sometimes get pulled in that famous circle AND unwittingly, outsiders would label you as being the one feening for that fame. point blank: can you imagine ms. wyatt with joe down the block, working at a call-centre? NO. where ppl get pissed is the fact that she only seems to go for affluent/famous ppl. do you blame her? wouldn’t you? under the layer of their fame, they are real people too and want relationships — in comes ms. wyatt, who just happens to fill that void. stop acting and perpetuating discrimination. the fact that she is blessed with beauty only makes it even more logical that affluent, famous men flock to her or vice-versa. A LOT of attractive women gain attention from these types of men so if it were you, would you ignore them and take their attention as an insult? NO. if some ppl choose to marry, date and have kids with athletes, rappers, overall rich, famous men, it should not concern nor affect you in such a manner that you have to degrade their being. PLEASE BE REAL WITH YOUR HATERATION!

      this female was a stripper (hustler mentality)–be real! her personality is a hustler and i’m sure MOS DEF knew exactly what he was getting into. why are we always uplifting these rappers, athletes, etc. & demeaning women like wyatt??! why does she have to be a whore? why does she have to be a gold-digger? do most average, even ugly women, not expect to be paid for on dates? does that make them gold-diggers? i’m sure alana wyatt is not the only woman garnering such attention in toronto. i reside here and have had my fair share of athletes getting at me. does that make me a groupie? NO. a lot of these men are groupies too b/c they want arm candy like alana wyatt & it just so happens that she allows herself to bask in their attention etc. SO WHAT?! also, her book can exist b/c yall are intrigued by her life–how many of you can actually focus on writing 1 book AND deal with the negative attention it can promote? please check yourselves — ms. wyatt is not living based on your opinions of her so put your negative energy into your own lives and reap some positive rewards for a change.

      These men are just garbage.

      Once you put that in, you will see stories about how Andre has sex with his assistants, friends, and every woman he works with. There are tons of stories of women coming out right now talking about how he is in the sack.
