After 17 years, ‘The Montel Williams Show’ is coming to an end. CBS announced today that it will cease making new shows, but will continue to provide stations with a full year supply of ‘The Best of Montel’ broadcasts.
”I can’t say thank you enough to those who’ve welcomed me into their homes for the past 17 years. It has been both an honor and a joy.”
British singing sensation Leona Lewis stopped by TRL to promote her song, “Bleeding Love.” I am really feeling her.
Fab.
As we are gearing up for the hilarity that is Flavor of Love, the kind folks over at VH1 has allowed us, the viewers a glimpse of Flav’s pad. Yes, this is the same house with different decor. (No I Love New York and Charm School were not film at Flav’s.)

This morning I was bombarded with images of Britney Spears being rushed to the hospital–all before I had my first cup of coffee. As I was watching the motorcade, all I could think of is “Why, Brit Brit??” Here is my letter to Britney.
1/31/08
Dear Britney,
I know you don’t know me but I wanted to write you this letter. I know you have been going through a lot: marrying and divorcing young, having babies, substance abuse, dysfunctional family, and the sorts, but know that there are people who genuinely care about you and your well-being. The self-destructive pattern you are on is going to come to a head soon…you are going to leave your children motherless. Do you want Sean and Jayden to grow up knowing you through photos, documentaries, and other people’s memories?? Do you want to leave a lasting leagacy where people will only remember a tidbit of your impact on pop music but will recall all of your crazy actions?? Is that what you want?? If so, you are doing an excellent job.
You are 26 years old, get a grip. Your children need you. I wasn’t ready to be a mom. Sean Preston and my daughter were born two days apart. Being a mom is very scary. Yes you are going to screw up and make mistakes, but you pick yourself up, learn from it, and go on. If you can’t do it for yourself, at least, do it for your kids. They need you.
Seriously, it is time for you to let all the negative people go. In his popular Madea plays, Tyler Perry says this: “There are individuals that are meant to come into our lives for a season and then there are some that are meant to be there a lifetime. It is our duty to discern between the two. ” Britney, if there are people in your life that are causing you to be stressed out and unhappy, LET THEM GO! It is 2008, it is time to let the weak links go!!
Being single is fine. It is ok. This should be the time for you to get yourself together. Take some classes, go on a vacation, learn a new craft, do you.
I know you will never read this letter, but I had to say this to you.
Best,
Cassandra
